World Photography Day 2026
Sixteen shots. One story each.
Gura Gear is made by photographers, for photographers. When the frame shows up uninvited, the bag is either ready or it is in the way. Ours is built to be ready. Round of 16 closes Aug 26, 11:59 pm PT. One ballot, submitted at the end.
Ask a photographer about their best frame and it is rarely the one they planned. It is the detour, the delay, the last shot on the roll.
That was the brief for World Photography Day, and hundreds answered on Instagram. Sixteen are still standing. Which of them goes further is your call.

How to vote
Eight matchups below, two photographs in each. Pick one per matchup. Tap any photograph to see it full size next to the other one.
Leave your email once at the bottom and it carries you through every round. One ballot per person per round.
How the bracket runs
Sixteen become eight, then four, then two. A round closes every night at 11:59 pm PT and the results go up on Instagram the next morning, with the next round open here the same day.
The final runs August 29. Third place is decided by its own vote alongside it. Winners are announced August 31.
What the finalists win
First place takes the Kiboko City Classic 18L+ together with the City Sling 6L. Second place takes the Chobe 2.0 14 inch. Third place takes the Kiboko City Classic Mini 12L+.
Every photograph stays the property of the person who took it, and is credited wherever it appears.
