1. Sponsor

Pickering Ventures LLC dba Gura Gear, 30 N Gould St Ste 55043, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("Sponsor"). This promotion is not administered by any social media platform.

2. Eligibility

Open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, worldwide, except where prohibited or restricted by law and except in any country to which Sponsor cannot lawfully ship under United States export and sanctions regulations. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, its affiliates, and their immediate family members or household members are not eligible. Members of the Gura Gear Pro Team and Ambassador program are not eligible to enter. Entrants are responsible for complying with the laws of their own jurisdiction.

3. Promotion period

The promotion runs from August 19, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. PT through August 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PT ("Promotion Period"), in the following phases:

  • Phase 1, Call for entries: August 19 to August 23, 2026 (entries close August 23 at 11:59 p.m. PT)
  • Phase 2, Shortlist and post: August 24 to August 25, 2026
  • Phase 3, Public voting: August 26 to August 29, 2026
  • Phase 4, Winners announced: August 31, 2026

Sponsor's clock is the official timekeeper for the promotion.

4. How to enter (Phase 1)

To enter, during Phase 1 you must: (a) follow @gura.gear on Instagram and @guragearofficial on TikTok, and (b) leave a comment on the official Gura Gear World Photography Day Instagram post telling the story behind an unexpected shot you took. One entry per person. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, offensive, or that infringe the rights of a third party may be disqualified.

Entry is free. No purchase is required at any stage of this promotion.

5. Shortlist and post phase (Phase 2)

Sponsor will review all eligible comments and select a shortlist based on the following judging criteria: originality of the story (40%), connection to everyday, street or urban photography (30%), and clarity of the telling (30%). Sponsor's judging decisions are final and binding.

Shortlisted entrants will be notified by a reply to their comment and must, by August 25, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PT: publish the photograph they described as a post on their Instagram feed, explain in the caption why a Gura Gear bag would help their work, and tag @gura.gear in the caption. The account must be public, or the post otherwise visible to Sponsor, for the entry to qualify. Entrants who do not complete these steps in time forfeit their place, and Sponsor may select an alternate.

Shortlisted entrants advancing to Phase 3 will be asked to sign a photo licensing agreement covering Sponsor's use of their submitted photograph. An entrant who declines to sign forfeits their place in Phase 3.

6. Public voting (Phase 3)

Finalists selected from Phase 2 advance to a public elimination bracket hosted on guragear.com. The number of finalists and the number of rounds depend on how many Phase 2 entries qualify. Sponsor will publish the bracket and the round schedule when voting opens. Rounds run daily from August 26 to August 29, 2026, and each round closes at 11:59 p.m. PT on its scheduled day.

The final round determines first and second place. A separate public vote, running at the same time as the final, determines third place between the two finalists eliminated in the round before the final.

To cast a vote, voters must submit their contact information and affirmatively check the consent box on the voting page. One vote per person per round. Automated, scripted, bulk or duplicate voting is prohibited, and Sponsor may void any votes it determines in its sole discretion to be fraudulent or manipulated, or cancel the vote of an affected round.

Voting is free and open to anyone 18 or older. Voting is not required to enter the giveaway, and voting does not constitute an entry.

7. Prizes

Three prizes will be awarded:

  • First place: Kiboko City Classic 18L+ and Kiboko City Sling 6L with Photo Insert. Approximate retail value (ARV) $329.90 USD.
  • Second place: Chobe 2.0 14". ARV $229.95 USD.
  • Third place: Kiboko City Classic Mini 12L+. ARV $169.95 USD.

Total ARV of all prizes: $729.80 USD. Where a prize is offered in more than one color, the winner selects the color from the options available at the time of the claim. Sponsor will confirm the available options when contacting the winner. Prizes are not transferable, and no cash or other substitution is permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable.

Sponsor covers standard shipping of the prize. Winners are responsible for all taxes, customs duties, import fees and any other costs associated with receiving the prize. Winners located outside the United States may be required to pay import duties on delivery.

8. Winner notification and claim

Winners will be announced on August 31, 2026 on Gura Gear's Instagram and contacted by direct message. Winners must respond within 5 days of notification and provide a valid shipping address and the information Sponsor needs to fulfill the prize. If a winner cannot be reached within that period, is ineligible, or declines the prize, Sponsor may select the next highest vote-getter as an alternate.

9. Use of your content

By entering, you confirm that the photograph and story you submit are your own original work, that you own or control all rights to them, and that any identifiable people in the photograph have consented to its use.

You grant Sponsor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, display and share your submitted photograph, story and Instagram handle for the purpose of running and promoting this giveaway, on Sponsor's website, email, Instagram, TikTok and other Sponsor-owned channels. Sponsor will credit you by your Instagram handle whenever your photograph is published. You keep full ownership of your photograph. Finalists in Phase 3 will be asked to sign a separate licensing agreement setting out this use in full.

10. Your contact information

The contact information submitted on the voting page is collected by Sponsor and will be used to send Gura Gear marketing emails, only where the voter has checked the consent box. 11. General conditions

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry or voting process, violates these rules, or acts in a way that is disruptive or unfair to other entrants. Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the promotion if fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond its reasonable control compromises the integrity of the promotion.

By entering or voting, you release Sponsor, its affiliates, and their officers, employees and agents from any liability for any loss, harm or damage arising out of participation in this promotion or the acceptance or use of a prize. Sponsor is not responsible for entries or votes that are lost, late, misdirected, or not received due to technical failure.

12. Platform disclaimer

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta, or TikTok. You provide your information to Sponsor, not to those platforms. Each entrant releases Instagram, Meta and TikTok from any liability related to this promotion.

13. Governing law

These rules are governed by the laws of Ogden, Weber County, Utah, USA.
