Testimonials
RobertFantastic Bag
Bought this bag for a trip up north, on a bush plane, hence the need for a small bag. Was able to pack a Canon R5 with 100-500 attached, R6 with a RF70-200 attached and a RF14-35, plus 4 batteries a charger, a 14 inch Macbook Pro, charger and cable. The butterfly is an excellent concept, can take lots of stuff. I also tried, and can put the RF800, the 100-500, and the 14-35, the two camera bodies in it. The cameras have to be detached and put in face to face. Have ordered its big brother 30L for when I am bigger planes.
DarrenGreat Little Bag
The 16L is a great little bag. Perfect size for a smaller mirrorless system. I got mine because I was downsizing from a full on Nikon DSLR system to a more compact Sony system. The bag is incredibly weatherproof. I’ve shot with it in the rain, wind and heavy snow and not one drop of water got in the bag. It also feels good on my back when hiking. If I had to make one suggestion it would be to make the zipper loops different colors. All 4 are the same blue and I end up opening the wrong compartment sometimes. Maybe one color for the main compartments and another color for the smaller ones where the accessories go. Great bag and tough as nails.
Keith R. SbiralonI simply freaking love this bag.
Ok, I had the old bag from back in the day. I was thrilled Gura came back. So I bought a 22L, not because I needed it but because I loved my old Betaflea so much but it didn’t have a laptop sleeve. LOVED the 22L new Kiboko. So…leaving for a trip where I would be on a small sea plane with limited size and weight, I ordered a 16L. THIS BAG IS FANTASTIC. Great size, holds what I need. Currently shoot with a Leica M which is obviously small, but I also have a Plaubel Makina W67 tucked in there! So there is room. Highest quality construction. COMFORTABLE to wear, which is rare for backpacks IMO.
Suggestions for improvement? Not many, this bag ticks all the boxes. Maybe an RFID pocket?
I’m so happy that Gura is back, don’t hesitate on this bag…get one. You’ll love it.
David RockFinally! THE BAG I've been looking for
I have tried over 5 different camera bags in the last 7 years and I can't believe that I finally found my favorite.
It holds a bunch of gear, very easy to use organization dividers, even when it's full it doesn't feel too heavy and the weight feels very well distributed.
I love this bag and highly recommend it!
Cody BakerThe Best Bag For Me
The GuraGear Kiboko 2.0 16L Backpack is the best bag for me as a travelling
freelance photographer that focuses on outdoor lifestyle and adventure. Its
small form factor and padded 3D mesh design on the back is perfect for
hiking and long adventures with its breathability but the customizable build
on the inside allows me to bring only the gear I need while leaving enough
room to bring along extra accessories or clothing if I need. With multiple zip
compartments throughout the front of the bag as well as the inside, I’m able
to store all the small accessories like extra batteries, memory cards,
notepads and more to make sure I have everything I need with me for the job.
My favourite thing about the bag that provides me the most comfort is the
easily accessible rain cover because my job frequently has me outside and in
all kinds of weather.

Carry-on Size
The Kiboko is designed to stay within international flight carry-on size regulations. The bag comes in at 3.7 lbs freeing up weight to bring extra gear instead of extra bag on your next trip.
-
Extra Dividers
Our bags are infinitely configurable and come with plenty of extra divider types to accomodate any setup imaginable. Our dividers are also made out of Artillion Foam which is the same stuff used in motorcycle helmets. High impact protection, low weight and profile.
Front Accessories Pockets
At the exterior of the two front panels are the bags accessory pockets. Loaded with zipper pockets, a key ring, places for pens, and enough space collectively to put a wind breaker jacket inside. The zipper pockets inside feature a webbed style so you can see the contents of the pockets.
X-Pac VX-21
In all of our gear we use X-Pac VX-21, a sailcloth-inspired laminated rip-stop nylon. This is the gold standard in materials for bags. Even after years of abuse it holds up as a durable, water resistant, and utlra lightweight material. Some of our legacy users are still using their original Kibokos from 10 years ago.
Main Compartments
Our signature Butterfly style duel front access allows you to access the contents of your bag quickly and without exposing everything to the elements. Pack different variations in each side for maximum organization. Large DSLR and lens combos fit well inside the 22L Kiboko. There are also webbed zipper pockets on the outside panel of the main compartment for small misc items. The webbed design allows you to see the contents.
